Learning and Skills Council.


Prior to his retirement from the post in 2005, Chris was chairman of the Learning and Skills Council in Hereford and Worcestershire.

The Learning and Skills Council was responsible for funding and planning education and training for people over 16 years of age. The overall aim of the body was to raise participation and attainment through high-quality education and training, putting learners first. The Council in Hereford and Worcestershire employed 84 people, with an annual budget of over £100m.
